The invisaWear device does work internationally. If you are outside of the United States, the invisaWear would be able to send text message alerts to your emergency contacts informing them that you are in an emergency situation.
Please note that your phone must be connected to cellular data or WiFi in order for the invisaWear to send out alerts and that 9-1-1 features are only available in the United States and Canada (except Quebec at this time).
There are 3 different modes you can choose from when setting up your device:
1. If you choose to only notify your emergency contacts (not 9-1-1) then your emergency contacts will receive a text message with your up-to-date location letting them know that you are requesting help.
2. If you choose the “Send a Silent SOS to 911” feature, ADT agents will notify 911 that you need help. An ADT agent will text you to gather additional information about your emergency. Even if you’re unable to respond, an ADT agent will still notify emergency services unless you confirm you’re safe and provide your PIN. If emergency services are notified, ADT will text you with status updates. In addition, ADT will text your emergency contacts with a link with your up-to-date location.
3. If you choose 24/7 professional monitoring, an ADT agent will call you to get additional information about your emergency. Even if you’re unable to speak, an ADT agent will still notify emergency services unless you confirm that you are safe and provide your PIN. You also have access to a safety network of ADT security agents via phone call or chat (if you need to be discreet) - your own ‘virtual companion.’ If you’re ever feeling unsafe, they will stay connected with you until you feel safe. This mode also allows you to set activity timers for any activity like a date or a run. If you don’t check in when your activity ends, ADT will check on you and notify 911 and your emergency contacts if you don’t respond.
Absolutely! We encourage users to test the system once a month to make sure the setup was properly completed and that they know exactly what to expect during an emergency. Using the “Test Alert” feature in our companion app allows you and your emergency contacts to safely test the emergency notification system.
To place a test alert- please press the MENU (three gold horizontal lines in the upper left hand corner of the invisaWear app). Then tap "Place Test Alert" from the menu. Once you're on the test alert page, test mode is on, you can double press your invisaWear to send a test alert and make sure your device is working properly.
For all you clumsies out there, no need to worry. invisaWear is designed just for you! A rapid double-press is required in order to initiate an alert. Additionally, the button actuation point is designed so that a substantial amount of pressure is required to press the button.
In the very rare case that you do accidentally activate an alert, that’s okay! Simply open your companion app within 15 seconds and enter your pin to cancel the alert. If you can’t cancel the alert in time, an ADT agent will call or text you to verify if you are in need of assistance. You still have the option to cancel by answering the call/text and verifying your secure PIN to the ADT agent.
After purchasing an invisaWear, you simply install the free invisaWear Companion app onto your smartphone. The companion app allows you to select a group of up to 5 contacts who you would like to be notified during an emergency.
All invisaWear charms are sweat and weather-resistant, so it should be fine if you get caught in the rain or if you're sweating from working out, but we don't recommend wearing it in the shower or submerging it in the water.
No! We did not want to burden you with yet another accessory you have to remember to charge. Our product is designed to have a long-lasting battery life so you never have to worry about charging it. We guarantee one year but it can be up to two years depending on usage. The app will notify you once your battery is running low if you enabled notifications. Replacement charms are discounted to $99 (less than $9 per month).

Statistics state that 1 in 5 women and 1 in 7 men will be attacked at some point in their life. Still, you never quite imagine this could happen to you or someone you love.
I certainly never suspected that walking back to my car after an event would turn into one of the scariest nights of my life. After being followed and harassed by a group of men, I was able to get away safely but unfortunately millions of women can’t say the same.
Following that terrifying experience, I wanted a way to protect myself and my loved ones to prevent the risk of something similar from happening again. I scoured the internet to look for safety devices but everything on the market was a big, ugly, panic button that not even my 80 year old grandmother wanted to wear. That’s why my best friend, Ray and I, created invisaWear to help protect our loved ones.
