At invisaWear we truly believe that if you choose a job you love, you'll never have to work a day in your life. We take company culture very seriously because we want our entire team to love what they do!
Since we’re a startup, our employees work a lot more than the traditional 9 -5 hours so we like to reward them by planning fun adventures! On warm summer days we’ve planned beach days where our entire team goes to the beach, enjoys some delicious soft serve ice cream, and plays games. We recently planned a trip to Portland Maine where we enjoyed lobster rolls and oysters at the No. 1 rated Lobster place in New England. This past week, we had a picnic by the river where we enjoyed delicious cupcakes and played fun board games. We’ve even planned trips to Dave & Busters and Laser Craze.
On each new employee’s first day, we play fun ice-breakers like “Heads Up” and “Two Truths and a Lie”. The office is full of fun board games like Exploding Kittens and Clue. It’s no surprise that everyone in our company instantly becomes good friends inside and outside of work! We even hang out on the weekends and we love Sundays because that means we’re one day closer to a full week of changing lives.
Not only do we have fun, but we also work very hard. Our company was built upon the principle of keeping people safe and helping decrease the awful statistics surrounding assault. We’re constantly getting thank you notes from customers who’ve been in domestic violence situations or who’ve been previously assaulted. They tell us about the trauma they’ve faced and how much safer they feel having an invisaWear. When a thank you note comes in, our customer success team always sends it to the entire team. Recently a thank you note from a mom whose daughter had been assaulted brought the entire team to tears. Knowing we’re making a huge difference in people’s lives is what keeps us motivated and what drives us to work hard!
