Shopping Angels: Army of Volunteers Shops for Seniors During the Pandemic
Just the thought of grocery shopping during this pandemic can give senior citizens and those with comprised immune systems anxiety. Amid this outbreak we have seen good though. For example, pre-med student Jayde Powell, launched the free grocery delivery program, Shopping Angels. Unlike other shopping services that charge delivery fees as well as some even charging a one-time sign up fee, Shopping Angels is totally free. Jayde created this service to help ease the anxiety and fear that senior citizens (and those with comprised immune systems) may have and allow them the option to stay safe at home while a volunteer from Shopping Angels shops for them and personally delivers their groceries.
